About Giclées
Wild Mountain Watercolor Giclées are printed on high quality watercolor paper by Sharpe Images using the finest fade-resistant ultraviolet inks on their state-of-the-art Roland printer. These Giclées represent Jo's work better than any other medium. They are limited editions, hand-signed and numbered, and will last for generations to enjoy.

Giclée (pronounced ZHEE-clay) is a French term meaning “spray of ink.”

Creating a Giclée print requires the utmost care and attention on the part of the technician. The original painting is scanned into a computer with a high-resolution digital scanner. Color manipulations are made so the scanned image will be an exact color match to the original. The image is then sent to a high-tech specialty inkjet printer.

The printer produces the image by delivering a fine spray of ink, up to a million micro-droplets per second. Each droplet is only one quarter of the diameter of a human hair. This allows for the display of a full color spectrum and maximum resolution of color density, resulting in the reproduction of the finest detail and vibrancy of the artist’s original image. Archival quality Giclée prints have been shown and accepted by some of the finest museums and galleries throughout the world.

Sharpe Images produces canvas Giclées using only the best quality archival canvas. Our paper Giclées are produced on the best 100% rag archival media. The edges are hand-deckled and hand embossed with the Sharpe Images Seal of Authenticity.

Sharpe Images guarantees the authenticity of their Giclée Reproductions using the following criteria:

• All Giclées are produced on 100% rag archival watercolor papers and authentic archival canvas.

• The pigmented inks are rated to last from fading over 125 years by an independent resource, The Wilhelm Research Institute.
